TV Girl – If You Want It

A shout out to Jonah Hill for the heads up on these guys (yes he has kick-ass music taste as well as being funny as fuck). San Diego group TV Girl have sampled Todd Rundgren’s “Hello It’s Me” and created this little gem. If you like this check out their newies “Girls Like Me” and “Sarah (Meet Me in the Sauna).”

Surfer Blood – Tarot Classics EP

My favourite band from West Palm Beach, Florida is back with a new EP – Tarot Classics. Surfer Blood’s debut Astro Coast was my most played album of early 2010 with not a weak track in the bunch and this abbreviated follow up sticks to what they do best, power riffs, incessant hooks and reverb-laden vocals. Fingers crossed another full length is on the way sometime soon as tracks like Miranda and Voyager Reprise have me craving more guitar driven goodness. Word has it they’ll be hitting Australian shores sometime this summer.
